When we seek truthIf we want truth, we cannot assume we already have it all.
We must also believe we could have accepted a certain amount of error along with the truth we do have. When we hear something new how are we to respond ? Accept it ? --- No, it might be error. Reject it ? --- No, it might be truth. What are we to do? We are to prove it to be true or false with the word. What we want to believe or are more comfortable with, should not matter. After we understand the truth, we are to obey God. |
What is Truth
John 8:31-32
31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word,
then are ye my disciples indeed;
32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

In knowing it you will be made free.
From what are we made free?
Psalm 15:1-2
1 LORD, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill?
2 He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness,
and speaketh the truth in his heart.
Who does David say will abide with the Lord?
He who walks, works, and speaks the truth.
After accepting Christ this will be your desire and practice.
Psalm 25:4-5

5 Lead me in thy truth, and teach me:
for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.
Gods ways and His path, lead to His truth.
